Luise & Niklas

– 11 & 12 July 2025 –

We have found each other.

Our journey began in the 1980s… already with some of you!

It had, like every life journey, its highs and lows.

It led both of us across many wondrous places and continents (and even Vienna).

After a long life journey, this path led us to each other.

„Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence,"

– Erich Fromm

You have been by our side for so many years!

We would love to have you by our side for this next step as well.

That's why we invite you to celebrate our step into a new, shared life with us!

We would love to embark on this new chapter of our lives together with you!

We invite you to celebrate this party of love and life with us!

July 11, 2025 from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Wine Tasting at Loisium Wine World, Langenlois
We’re looking forward to seeing those of you who are already in town and have registered, on Friday evening for a small wine tasting at the Loisium Wine World (Loisium-Allee 1, 3550 Langenlois). We’ve selected two red, white, and sparkling wines from the region, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and vegetarian sandwiches for you, and we hope you’ll enjoy them with us. Sommeliers will be present and available to answer questions. For those interested, there will also be audio-guided cellar tours available in German and English.

July 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM – Wedding Ceremony and Summer Celebration, Arche Noah in Schiltern
On Saturday starting at 1:00 PM, we’re planning the ceremony, a small reception (Agape), and a celebration in the show gardens of Arche Noah in Schiltern, which is about 10 km from Langenlois. A bus with 50 seats will depart punctually at 12:30 PM from the Loisium in Langenlois to Arche Noah. Seats are available on a “first come, first served” basis. That night, from 22:30 to 02:30, a small shuttle with 8 seats will run continuously between Schiltern and accommodations in Langenlois and back. More details can be found in the section “Local Transportation” below.
We’ve planned quite a few things for the afternoon, including optional lawn games and a tour of the Arche Noah show gardens. So we recommend flat shoes or wedges. :)

Dress code: Pastel and muted colors like these would be wonderful, but if you don’t have anything like that in your wardrobe, that’s totally fine too. We’d just prefer to avoid black, bright red, and electric blue. Thank you!

Further details about both days will follow.

What is the Arche Noah?

The Arche Noah (Noah’s Ark) in Schiltern is a nonprofit organization committed to preserving and promoting the diversity of our cultivated plants since 1989. Founded by gardeners, farmers, and journalists, the organization’s mission is to put seeds – the basis of our nutrition – back into the hands of people. Given the dramatic loss of around 75% of agricultural biodiversity since the beginning of the 20th century, alongside threats from genetic engineering, seed monopolies, and climate change, the Arche Noah plays a key role in safeguarding this precious heritage.

Through its work, the Arche Noah ensures that thousands of endangered vegetable, fruit, and grain varieties not only survive but return to gardens and markets, which is particularly important for ensuring food security in the face of climate change. Supported by over 17,000 members and donors, the organization actively contributes to making our food more sustainable and resilient. The Arche Noah is a key element for sustainable agriculture in Austria and ensures a vibrant and diverse plant world for future generations.

We believe this is a fitting place to begin our new life, our future, together with you!

The garden kitchen, which will cater for our celebration, uses mainly regional and seasonal organic products from its own production or small farmers and producers in the surrounding area.

What to do?

Please book your accommodation early.

Since Langenlois is a popular destination and hotels do not offer room blocks, we kindly ask you to book your accommodation early. If you haven’t done so yet, we recommend calling the Langenlois Tourism Office — they can more easily find out where rooms are still available.

When choosing accommodation, please keep distances in mind.If you’re not arriving by car, we recommend booking a place in Langenlois, ideally near the main square. Langenlois is accessible by train from Vienna (see “Arrival and Departure”), and on Saturday there will be shuttle service from Langenlois to Schiltern and back. If you are staying outside of Langenlois, you will need a car or a taxi.

Please let us know if you can join us!

Aside from our great anticipation, confirmed RSVPs will help us with planning :). For instance, knowing the number of guests is helpful in selecting the Friday evening venue. You can RSVP by email, SMS, or ideally by clicking the RSVP below.

Your time with us is our greatest gift!

If you’d like to give us an additional gift, we would be thrilled to receive a contribution to our joint account towards our honeymoon, which will already be taking place in January.

If you’d like to do this, please send a quick request for the account details to luiseundniklas@gmail.com.

We hope you will share this special day with us.

Please help us with planning by RSVP-ing as soon as possible.

Thank you

I want to thank you

because I am falling in love with you

and this has awakened something in me

that is at once

very beautiful,

very powerful,

and very frightening.

It has opened me to being touched by you

on a very deep level.

It has opened me to see in you

the face of the beloved.

It has opened me to hearing you

calling me back,

and back again,

to that wellspring

of poetry and passion.

And even though I weave a world with you in it

from memories

and fantasies

and moments yet to be,

I want you to know that I will always respect your boundaries

and I will respect my own boundaries

as I navigate to discover

what it means in my life

to be turning myself over to love

without yet knowing

where it will go…
